Information

Hybrid technology

Comfortable walking surface
The walking surface of ECO-Floors always consists of a combination of concrete and rubber. Both concrete and rubber have advantages and disadvantages. ECO-Floors combine the advantages and eliminate the disadvantages.

Optimal walkability
The hybrid walking surface of concrete and rubber ensures high grip for the cows. The floor is also perfectly walkable for the livestock farmer. The combination of concrete and rubber is the key to this high grip, because two materials provide more slip resistance.

ECO-Floors are walking floors, not lying floors. The presence of concrete prevents cows from using the floor as a lying area.

Higher productivity
With ECO-Floors, dairy farmers can achieve higher productivity. Our customers report an improvement in the overall health of their animals and higher lifetime production.

DLG has tested ECO-Floors in practice with positive results. ECO-Floors have a major positive impact on the hoof and leg health, heat detection and activity of your cows.
‍ECO-Floors are recognized as low-emission floors in several countries.

The structure of ECO-Floors

ECO-Slat
The basis of ECO-Floors is the ECO-Slat, standard drive-over capable with tractor load. The slat has a profiled surface and rounded sides. ECO-Floors can be applied in almost any barn thanks to our extensive delivery program.

Rubber inserts
The rubber inserts are placed in the recesses of the ECO-Slat. These inserts are enclosed in the concrete, which guarantees a long service life. Specialized rubber manufacturers produce the rubber inserts according to the quality standards and design determined by Anders Beton. There are now different types of rubber inserts to provide a solution for every application.

Emission-reduction flaps
ECO-Floors are modular in design, allowing the flaps to be installed both before and after the barn is put into use. These flaps are located under the rubber inserts and allow manure to pass through very well.

ECO-Slat floors
The rubber inserts have slots with a width of 40 mm. The manure and urine pass through these slots into the manure pit. In the manure pit, the slurry is mixed regularly. This manure can be used on the land during the spreading period. It is recommended to use a manure scraper or manure robot; in the Netherlands this is mandatory. The slot percentage is ± 15%.

New: 2K Inserts‍
ECO2K Inserts have been developed with a view to further sustainability. These inserts are fully recyclable and are produced with a 90% lower CO2 footprint than the classic ECO Inserts.

ECO-Floor for renovation

Carrying out a new-build project with ECO-Floor is often accompanied by renovation of the older part of the barn. ECO renovation slats are the ideal solution for this. The height and length are tailored to commonly used dimensions of old concrete slats. See the technical specifications tab.

Zie tab technische specificaties.
